LitFest presents a showcase of readings and performances from Edmonton Heritage Stories: A collection of stories on crossings, courage, and community. This anthology highlights heritage stories from communities including China, Germany, Japan, Nepal, Philippines, Poland, and Ukraine.
Featuring writers, musicians, and performers Ryan Lacanilao, Oliver Rossier, Roxanne Reimer (with musical accompaniment by Emry – Beijing Opera), Paul Fujishige, Rabbits Three c/o Carley Okamura (Japanese Drums), William Wang, Ying (Cathy) Shi (with accompaniment from the Chinese Seniors Band/Edmonton Small Band for Seniors), and Mila Bonco-Philipzig (with Kulintang traditional drums), this event celebrates the power of storytelling, music, and cross-cultural connection.
