Housed within historic McKay Avenue School, the oldest brick school in Alberta, Edmonton Public Schools Archives and Museum is Edmonton’s best kept secret. Walk through our exhibits that highlight the history of Edmonton Public Schools and stand alongside the site of the first Alberta legislature and see the restored 1906 legislative chamber.
This year they are partnering with the Jewish Archives and Historical Society of Edmonton and Northern Alberta (JAHSENA) to highlight the history of the Jewish Wedding Ceremony. This special exhibit will be featured in our 3rd Floor Legislative Assembly Hall event rental space, as this is often booked for wedding ceremonies. The exhibit will be featured on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 between 1-3 p.m.
Advanced registration is not required and this is a free tour.
