Whether on the ice or in the streets hockey permeates Canada’s soul. Canada’s largest street hockey festival Play On! is returning to Edmonton! Edmonton is no stranger to Play On!, and this year’s event will take place in the popular ICE District adjacent to Rogers Place, home of the Edmonton Oilers. The District has fast become the go-to destination for hockey fans and is the ideal location for this celebration of hockey and community.

Road closures and parking restrictions
Those travelling east-west to/from downtown should expect delays, particularly on Friday, September 9, when traffic is generally heavier due to those working in the city’s core:
• A full closure of 104 Avenue, from 101 Street to 109 Street will be in effect from 9 a.m. on Friday, September 9 until 9 p.m. on Sunday, September 11.
Please use an alternate route. Plan ahead and leave extra time to get where you’re going.
North-south travel will be maintained for those looking to cross 104 Avenue: Use 101 Street, 102 Street or 105 Street.
Alternative routes
To detour around the road closure, use:
• North of the event road closure: Detour using 106 Avenue or 107 Avenue
• South of the event road closure: Detour using Jasper Avenue
