On Saturdays (and select Sundays) from June 20 to September 19, 2026, Rice Howard Way is turning up the volume with live music, patio energy, local businesses, and Entertainment District activity in the heart of downtown Edmonton. During permitted event hours, alcohol purchased from participating businesses can be enjoyed on the street within the designated district boundary.
This Saturday:
This event features jazz, Latin-folk and pop rhythms from the Benjamin Caufield Trio, Cristian de la Luna, and DJ Kena Leon. Swing dancers will be moving through the block alongside the jazz trio, adding a little footwork and flair!
Spelling Bee: Test your spelling skills, spin to win some swag and enter for a chance to win tickets to the Citadel Theatre’s newest musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Hot Dog Fundraiser: Stop by Sherlock Holmes Pub from 1PM – 4 PM for a hot dog fundraiser in support of SCARS. Good cause and even gooder dogs.
Art Workshop: Try out a hands-on workshop hosted by the Alberta Craft Council! More details on the way.
Yard Games: Cornhole and PaddleSmash will be set up for easygoing, kid-friendly hangs between performances.
