Have you ever seen a hockey game on stage at the Winspear? The iconic Canadian story, The Hockey Sweater, is brought to life through the music of Abigail Richardson-Schulte. Feel like you’re in the arena as the ESO brings the historic rivalry between the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs to life! Enjoy a musical interpretation that will remind you of the “Battle of Alberta,” but from the classic book by Roch Carrier that you know and love.

Fun, family-friendly activities are available in the lobby prior to each concert, so be sure to arrive early. Activations start at 1:15 PM.

  • Main Lobby: Mini Hockey Stick Craft
    Make your own mini hockey stick out of cardboard at our crafting station. Decorate the stick to your heart’s content and show your true fan pride!
  • Founders’ Room (2nd Floor): Storytime with EPL
    Sit down, relax, and enjoy a story from our Edmonton Public Library!
  • Dress Circle Lobby (2nd Floor): Learn to play an organ theme – Charge!
    Learn how to play one of the most recognizable and popular organ themes of all time – Charge! Then get a chance to play the melody on our baby organ, Nona!
  • Upper Circle Lobby (3rd Floor): Hockey Edmonton Experience
    Join Hockey Edmonton for an interactive shootout experience! Learn about your local hockey teams and get active!
