ESO Pairings are curated, intermission-free concerts that are perfect for newcomers to live classical music
Experience Pacho Flores’ impressive trumpet skills as he makes his ESO debut performing a dynamic new trumpet concerto written especially for him in 2018 by Arturo Márquez, Mexico’s most celebrated living composer. In addition, you’ll hear Carlos Chávez’s popular Sinfonía india in its first Edmonton Symphony performance. Completed in 1936, it uses three melodies originating from native-American tribes of northern Mexico.
