Korean War vet Walt Kowalski is a grumpy old man who loves his 1972 Gran Torino and doesn’t get along with his kids or his neighbours. His neighbour, Thao, is a Hmong teenager who is pressured by gang members to steal Walt’s treasured car. Walt protects Thao from the gang and an unlikely friendship develops between the two.
