The EDBA is governed by a Board of Directors elected by members of the Association each year at the Annual General Meeting. The Board meets monthly and strives to represent the diverse interests and perspectives of the Edmonton Downtown business community in its governance of the Association, from small independent restaurants to large multinational corporations.

Committees
Business Recruitment Committee
The purpose of the BRC is to pursue projects, communications, and business development activities for the attraction of new businesses into Downtown and the retention and expansion of existing businesses located Downtown.
Marketing Committee
The objective of the Marketing Committee is to provide strategic oversight and input into the execution of the Association’s various events, programs and marketing activities to ensure the success and maximum ROI of all marketing & communications efforts.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is a key component of the Association’s overall management and governance. Its purpose is to recommend policy, monitor the implementation of the Strategic Plan, review Committee Reports, make recommendations to the Board of Directors and provide oversight on overall Association operations. The Executive Committee is also responsible for the finances and financial procedures of the Association.
Working Group
Operations Working Group
The Operations Working Group works extensively with various departments of the City of Edmonton regarding Downtown City operations and infrastructure work. The Working Group also oversees the operational initiatives of the Association such as the Downtown Shine cleaning crew and provides general oversight and input in the areas of downtown beautification, maintenance, parking, safety, security, and any other relevant operational matters.
