Start your Sunday morning slow with your choice of an artisan-led workshop. Each workshop will take around 1.5-2 hours.
Abstract Art Workshop
Kayla Sommer Art will be guiding attendees through an abstract workshop where she will be touching on colour theory, the creation of a balanced composition, mark making and other abstract techniques she uses to help attendees create their own unique piece of artwork. All supplies will be provided for you to create a 10×10 canvas.
Modern Tapestry Workshop
Laura of The Robin’s Nest will educate us in a fun and interactive class that will teach the fundamental skills needed to weave your own handwoven wall hanging. You will be introduced to the “weaver’s toolkit” and learn about looms, weaving needles, and the different fibres you can use in your piece. Laura will demonstrate different knots and “stitches” as she guides us to create our own woven wall hanging! All supplies will be provided for you to complete this project.
Both pieces can be taken home to display and commemorate the Bali at LAST experience you kicked off 2024 with!
Cost: $95+gst for each workshop
