Mbira Renaissance Band Live Concert

The MacEwan Global Music Concert Series presents the Mbira Renaissance (afro-fusion/Zimbabwe). The band delivers an afro-fusion sound like no other, combining the mbira and other traditional instruments with contemporary sounds to produce a rich blend of vibrant polyrhythmic sounds. The result is an upbeat blend of the mbira sound with hints of reggae, afro-jazz and afro-pop. Concert is open to the public and admission is FREE.
