Downtown Dining Week kicks off March 12

Downtown Dining Week is back from March 12 to 23 with more than 60 restaurants offering multi-course $15, $25, $35, $50 and $65 menus for lunch, brunch and dinner. This year’s program showcases some of the most exciting places to dine right now in Edmonton, including a mix of familiar faves like, The Marc, Sabor, Braven, Bar Bricco and exciting new hotspots such as Bernadette’s, ATLAS Steak + Fish, The Alfred, Eleven Eleven and Lochi Afro Nija.

At a time when inflation and the rising cost of food is on everyone’s mind, this annual event allows diners to eat for less while supporting local and exploring downtown’s exceptional culinary landscape. The 11-day event also gives local chefs the opportunity to experiment with new menus and food concepts to find innovative ways to offer delicious discounts to customers.

“Our Edmonton Downtown restaurants are continuously recognized, both locally and nationally, as some of the best in Western Canada. Downtown Dining Week is an annual invitation to sample some of the best menu items at these restaurants and with some great deals,” says Puneeta McBryan, Chief Executive Officer of the Edmonton Downtown Business Association.

“Downtown Dining Week is more than just a celebration of great food – it helps restaurants get through the quieter months. When diners show up in droves to support restaurants during this time of year, they are helping to keep the city’s culinary scene surviving year-round,” adds McBryan.

Downtown saw a net increase of 21 new food services businesses in 2024, according to the City of Edmonton’s Business Census. New restaurants including SANG Seoul Table Dining and the Dining Car Café are among the 14 restaurants joining Downtown Dining Week for the first time.

Customers will have the chance to try these new restaurants at a discounted price, but the Edmonton Downtown Business Association hopes this edible event also helps rekindle the love Edmontonians have for downtown’s culinary institutions.

“We love participating in Dining Week because it allows more people to explore our menu,” says Christian Mena, owner of Sabor. “We are growing and expanding to new locations on Whyte Ave, in Calgary and in the Union Bank Building, but we’ve been at the 103 Street location for over 15 years. Our roots are downtown and Downtown Dining Week has brought new guests and created new regulars throughout the years.”

Diners are encouraged to book their reservations directly with participating restaurants.
