The FascinAsian film festival returns for its second annual celebration this Asian Heritage Month. Spotlighting Pan-Asian culture and perspectives, the festival features five feature films and 15 short films from local and international creators. Hosted at iconic downtown venues including Landmark Cinemas 9 City Centre, Metro Cinema at the Garneau Theatre and the Art Gallery of Alberta, the week-long event offers filmmaker Q&As, workshops and banquets.
The festival provides a dedicated space for local filmmakers and the public to connect, learn and engage in meaningful dialogue about equity in the media arts. Whether you are a film enthusiast or a community member looking to explore new perspectives, FascinAsian offers an inclusive and vibrant atmosphere for everyone.
Special program: Lunch and short films
Midday cinema: Join the festival from Wednesday, May 13, to Friday, May 15, for a series of lunch and short film programs designed for the midday break.
A curated experience: Scheduled from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., guests can enjoy a curated Asian lunch inside the theatre followed by 60 minutes of Asian short films.
Early bird deals: A special “three lunches for the price of two” offer is available until April 24. This deal can be applied to any combination of three lunch program tickets, making it a perfect outing for the downtown business community.
