This beloved Caribbean arts festival is back in the core for three days only!
Experience the vibrant spirit of the Caribbean at Cariwest, Western Canada’s largest Caribbean arts festival, happening August 8–10, 2025, in downtown Edmonton. Hosted by the Western Carnival Development Association (WCDA), this three-day celebration brings the energy, colour, and rhythms of the Caribbean to life through music, masquerade, dance, and delicious food. Since 1984, Cariwest has created space for the Caribbean community to share its culture while fostering unity and inclusion.
A major highlight of the weekend is the Cariwest Parade on Saturday, August 8. The vibrant 1.7 km route starts at 108 Street and 99 Avenue and ends in Churchill Square, filling downtown with music, movement, and masquerade.
