Edmonton Winds kick off their 2025–2026 season with At 50: Close to Home on October 26 at 2 p.m. at Triffo Theatre, MacEwan University (11110 104 Ave).
This milestone concert marks both the release of the ensemble’s third studio album and the start of their 50th year.
The program features music from the new album, a world premiere by Julie Giroux, and new works by Pete Meechan. Produced by Bent River Records, Close to Home highlights local composers and performers, including pieces by Allan Gilliland, Mari Alice Conrad, and a feature performance of Dreaming of the Masters IV by acclaimed saxophonist PJ Perry.
This is a festival seating performance—seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis when you arrive at the theatre. Doors open 30 minutes before the performance begins. Tickets range from $5–$20 and are available now through MacEwan University.
