The third concert of the season features pianist Angela Cheng. Consistently praised for her brilliant technique, tonal beauty, and superb musicianship, Canadian pianist Angela Cheng is one of our country’s national treasures. She performs Mozart’s Piano Sonata in C major K. 330 and joins the GSQ for Dvôrák’s thrilling Piano Quintet. The GSQ will also perform the folky and rhythmic first quartet of Grażyna Bacewicz. This concert is made possible by Muttart Foundation.

The Garneau String Quartet 2024/25 Concert Series is an intimate and immersive series featuring guest artists such as Angela Cheng, CBC’s Tom Allen, Lori Gemmel, Steve Dann, Cameron Crozman, and members of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. The quartet is comprised of members of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra: violinists Robert Uchida and Laura Veeze, violist Keith Hamm, and cellist Julie Hereish.
