Downtown Edmonton Farmers Market, 10305 97 Street
This s a year-round stop for all your produce and grocery needs and has been an Edmontonian favourite for years. Located in the historical GWG building on 97 Street, this farmers market is buzzing on Saturdays and Sundays with more than 75 vendors selling fresh seasonal fruits, veggies, meat, cheese and other provisions to stock your kitchen cupboards. Looking for local bread, Alberta honey or BC cherries? This is the place to get your weekly haul.
On Saturdays, the market spills onto the neighbouring street with food trucks, patio tables and even more vendors and artisans to check out. Bring your pup for a dog-friendly Downtown outing. Best of all, there’s free parking available so you can stay Downtown all day long. Pop by the Royal Alberta Museum or head down to Louise McKinney Park and rent a Segway or escooter from River Valley Adventure Co. Al Fresco on 4th, 104 Street (between Jasper Avenue and 102 Avenue)
Al Fresco is a new street celebration to hit the Edmonton Downtown this summer. Head to 104 street to check out a range of shopping and summer delights from local creative artisans. While you’re there, visit neighbouring restaurants and have dinner on one of their extended patios. Be sure to also check out the Neon Sign Museum just down the street.
Hours: Saturdays 11 am – 4 pm
Parking: Zebra Parkade located at 10040 103 Street offers a $5 discount to Al Fresco visitors. Motorist must pick up their parking voucher from the Al Fresco information booth located at the entrance of the market next to Michael Phair park. City of Edmonton on-street parking is $1 per hour on Saturday and Sundays.
