5 Tips to Maximize Your Downtown Dining Week Experience

Downtown Dining Week is happening April 13 to April 25 of this year and you don’t want to miss out on this bi-annual experience, celebrating Edmonton’s local downtown restaurants. With the restrictions in place, it is now even more important for us to share our love with local restaurants and order takeout.

Here are 5 expert tips on how to make the most of Downtown Dining Week this year. Don’t forget to share this with your friends and family so they can maximize their experience as well! 


This is your chance to try that Downtown restaurant you’ve always wanted to. This year, we are introducing fast casual restaurants to the mix so that you can have a wider variety of restaurants to choose from. Tiffin is one of our newest fast casual additions, serving a delicious butter chicken and fish pakora that you can enjoy on the patio or a quick takeout! 99 Sunflower Café is also offering a variety of combos for only $20, from a tangy Thai Tom Yum soup to a classic poutine, they have everything you could ever want.


Menus for participating restaurants are listed here. Some eateries create special dishes just for the event while others offer select dishes from their regular menu so take a look before you go! 


Check the restaurant’s menu to see if its offering patio dining. If so, call ahead to see if the restaurant is taking reservations as Dining week is a busy time for all participating restaurants, you’ll want to book as early as possible. Booking earlier in the week such as Mondays to Wednesdays when restaurants are less busy for a better chance of getting a reservation. When making the reservation, let the restaurant know that you’ll be ordering from their Downtown Dining Week menu so they can plan ahead for the number of people ordering special dishes. If you can’t make your reservation, please let the restaurant know immediately so they can fill your spot.


Experience Downtown Dining Week fully by making a staycation out of it!
