A celebration of new play development at the Citadel Theatre

The Citadel Theatre presents its annual Collider festival, a three-day event dedicated to bringing new stories and scripts to life for larger stages. Showcasing a mix of local artists and creators from across the country, the festival offers the public a unique behind-the-scenes look at the play development process. From musical theatre heists to reimagined classics, Collider is a hub for innovation and artistic discussion in Edmonton’s theatre community.

The 2026 festival features a series of free public readings and specialized workshops led by industry professionals.
