Salsa in the square returns to downtown Edmonton for an eight-week spring series presented by the Edmonton Arts Council and ETOWN SALSA. Every Wednesday evening, Sir Winston Churchill Square transforms into an outdoor dance floor, offering free lessons and social dancing for all skill levels. Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned dancer, this series provides a vibrant space to enjoy Latin music and connect with the community.
Each week features a different Latin dance style, ranging from cumbia and bachata to the season finale in mambo. The sessions are designed to be inclusive and accessible, with no partner or previous experience required. It is a perfect evening break or after-work activity for those looking to embrace the spring weather and stay active downtown.
