The Edmonton International Cat Festival returns for a month of feline-themed activities throughout May, culminating in the big festival finale on May 31. This all-ages event brings together cat lovers to celebrate cats and cat culture while raising money for local rescues. Since its inception in 2014, the festival has donated over $187,000 to help cats in need.
The festival finale at MacEwan University features the Meowcatplace vendor market, cat yoga, celebrity cat meet-and-greets and the crowning of Edmonton’s most purr-fect cat. Attendees can participate in a variety of “CATivities,” from cat-themed board games to songwriting workshops. Whether you are a long-time cat owner or just a fan of feline fun, the festival offers an inclusive atmosphere to connect with the community and support a meaningful cause.
