Learn to preserve queer histories through scrapbooks, photos, and letters
This workshop focuses on preserving personal items such as scrapbooks, photos, cards, and letters that hold queer stories and memories.
These items capture important histories that deserve to be kept for future generations of queer Albertans. Archivists and conservators from the Royal Alberta Museum (RAM) and the Provincial Archives of Alberta (PAA) will guide participants on how to care for paper memorabilia collections, offering an introduction to best practices for preserving photos, letters, cards, and scrapbooks.
