Ever wanted to turn your experiences into music? The Royal Alberta Museum is hosting a special two-day immersive workshop led by acclaimed singer-songwriter and Alberta Artist in Residence, John Wort Hannam.
Whether you are a seasoned musician or have never written a lyric in your life, this workshop is designed for Albertans of all backgrounds and skill levels. Over the course of the weekend, you’ll be guided through the entire creative process—from spark of an idea to a finished song—culminating in a supportive session to share your work with fellow participants. It’s a rare chance to learn from one of the province’s finest storytellers in an inspiring museum setting.
Workshop Details:
Expert Instruction: Learn directly from John Wort Hannam about the craft of songwriting.
Two-Day Experience: This is a comprehensive weekend workshop (attendance on both days is encouraged).
What to Bring: Pencils and paper are provided, but since these are full-day sessions, participants are welcome to bring their own lunch and snacks.
Registration: This event is free to attend, but space is limited and registration is required to secure your spot.
